The Alexandria Police and the FBI are investigating a robbery that occurred this morning (April 4, 2007) at the Cardinal Bank at 1737 King Street in Alexandria. There were no injuries. Around 11:05 a.m., an armed suspect approached a teller and demanded money. The teller complied and the robber ran away with an undisclosed amount of money.The thief is described as a black male with a medium complexion and a mustache. He is in his mid to late 30s, 5-feet 8-inches to 5-feet 9-inches tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and dark jeans and carrying a messenger-style bag.
Police Identify Homicide Victims
Alexandria police have identified the victims of yesterday’s homicides in the 800 block of North Patrick Street as Nathan Travis Lee, a 31-year old Alexandria man and Mark Anthony Collins, a 28-year old man from Landover, Maryland. Both men died of gunshot wounds. A suspect has not been identified and a motive for the crime has not been determined.
